According to estimates from analytics firm Alinea Analytics, the spy action game 007 First Light has sold more than 2.2 million copies across PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 in less than a week after launch.
It is reported that more than half of all sales came from PlayStation 5. Sony's console accounts for 55.1% of total sales, while PC represents 33.1% and Xbox Series makes up 11.8%.
Analysts estimate that the game sold around 1.5 million copies on its first day and has continued to post strong sales since release. Total gross revenue has already surpassed $150 million.
Despite the impressive launch, the game's development budget is estimated at approximately $202 million, making it the most expensive entertainment project ever produced in Denmark. IO Interactive is hoping to replicate the long-term success of its Hitman franchise through ongoing post-launch support and content updates.
The studio has already confirmed plans to expand the TacSim mode and introduce new missions, including an Aston Martin driving challenge. 007 First Light is also scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 later this summer.
