Activision and Infinity Ward have revealed the testing schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Before players get their hands on the beta, the Call of Duty NEXT showcase will take place on August 21, featuring a full multiplayer presentation. Invited journalists and content creators will also be able to try the game early. The campaign is centered on a modern military conflict on the Korean Peninsula.
Immediately after the event, the early access beta will begin, running from August 21 to August 25. Participation will be limited to players who have pre-ordered the game on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, or PC.
The open beta is scheduled for August 28 through September 1 and will be available to everyone without requiring a purchase. Players on Nintendo Switch 2 will also be able to join this testing phase.
The beta build will include new Operators, 19 different weapons, 3v3 multiplayer matches, large-scale tactical battles featuring military vehicles, and both returning and brand-new game modes, including Search Destroy, the new Kill Block, and the Training Mobility Course.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23 for PC, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders are already available, and the developers have once again confirmed that the shooter will not arrive on Game Pass before December 2027.
