Activision has officially unveiled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 along with its first full trailer and confirmed release date.
The game’s story is set on the Korean Peninsula, where a large-scale invasion of South Korea threatens global stability. The campaign also expands to multiple international locations beyond Korea, including missions set in New York, Paris, and Mumbai.
Infinity Ward states that the game will feature a more grounded and authentic tone, focusing on political tension, covert operations, and global warfare. Developers promise a wide variety of gameplay scenarios, ranging from trench warfare and close-quarters combat to high-speed chases and SAS night raids.
A major narrative shift sees Captain Price return in a drastically different role. Instead of operating with Task Force 141, Price forms a rogue alliance and acts outside official channels as the global crisis escalates into full-scale war.
The game is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Reminder: KRAFTON will pay up to $250 million to Unknown Worlds developers after the record launch of Subnautica 2.
