Skyroot is one of those rare and extremely valuable materials in Crimson Desert without which building a powerful setup becomes very difficult. This root is essential for crafting top-tier gear and strong stamina buffs.
We’ve gathered information for you on the optimal route and tips for efficiently farming this rare plant.
Where to Find Skyroot Early in the Game
The best and most accessible location for beginners is in the western part of the Hernand region. Head west from Kilnden Workshop and look for a hill.
- Visual landmarks: Look for dense patches of thorny vines. In their center, you’ll find two small trees with distinctive star-shaped leaves.
- How much you can gather: In this clearing, you can collect approximately 10 units of the root.
Tip: According to the in-game Knowledge Journal, after the starting areas, large deposits of Skyroot can be found directly in the Red Desert itself.
How to Properly Gather Skyroot
Skyroot is the underground part of the plant, so you will definitely need a shovel.
- If you arrive without a tool — don’t worry. Carefully inspect the area around the trees. Near a wooden post, the developers have conveniently left a free shovel.
- Equip the shovel using the quick-access menu (equipment wheel).
- You don’t need to “pixel hunt” for the exact spot. Simply run around the star-shaped trees until the interaction prompt to dig appears on the screen.
Any resources in the game, including Skyroot, have a respawn timer of 7 in-game days. Make sure to remember this cycle and revisit Kilnden Workshop regularly.
Reminder: A TV channel used footage from the DLSS 5 presentation and then blocked NVIDIA’s official trailer on YouTube.
