Apex Legends and Cyberpunk collaboration: details of the "Joker" crossover event

Respawn Entertainment studio has officially presented a large-scale crossover event "Apex Legends x Cyberpunk", which will take place from July 14 to August 4. Players can expect a themed map transformation, unique cyber-implant gameplay mechanics, mythical weapons, and a line of cosmetic items.

E-District received a visual update in the style of Night City with tall neon skyboxes, holographic koi carps, and damaged signs.

On the streets of the location, two cyber-implant modifications will become available to players:

Excessive use of implants builds up the cybernetic load meter. Upon reaching the limit, the player falls into a state of cyberpsychosis, turning into a high-speed melee monster. In this state, the character receives increased movement speed and devastating melee damage, but completely loses the ability to use weapons, abilities, shields, or grenades.

The accumulated limit can be reset using syringes or immunoblocker caches scattered across the map.

Also, 8 new themed skins for legends will appear in the game: Axel, Sparrow, Lifeline, Crypto, Rampart, Loba, Ash, Gibraltar, and 8 weapon skins for Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, Kraber.

In addition, the mythical "Skippy" Alternator can be found on the map — a talking weapon with "Puppy-Loving Pacifist" and "Stone-Cold Killer" modes, which can be upgraded using exotic shards.

In the special rewards shop, earned in-game currency can be used to purchase the epic Valkyrie skin "Arasaka Flight Protocol" and the Mirage skin "Kang Tao Spectre".

The developers have also made a number of important adjustments to the game's operation based on community feedback:

A collaboration with Youtooz has also been announced to release limited-edition Nessie plushies styled after Lucy and Rebecca, with pre-orders opening from July 15 to August 18.

Reminder, ESIC has provisionally suspended two PlayTime representatives as part of a match-fixing investigation at EWC 2026.
