Electronic Arts has officially announced the next season of Apex Legends, titled Marked (Season 30), set to launch on August 4. The update will bring a major overhaul to the legend Bloodhound, buffs for Loba and Rampart, updates to the World’s Edge map, as well as weapon and loot reworks. Ahead of the release, the developers also dropped an official gameplay trailer.
The headline feature of the update is a full rework for Bloodhound, changing their tracking and hunting mechanics. The overhaul affects the legend's passive, tactical, and ultimate abilities, while also adding three new upgrades:
- Passive Ability: Enemies leave a glowing trail as they move.
- White Ravens: Gain increased range and faster activation.
- Tactical Ability: Displays additional snapshot scans after the initial pulse.
- Ultimate (Beast of the Hunt): Deploys a device that cloaks all legends who enter its area. The cloaking effect remains for 12 seconds after leaving the zone.
Developers have also buffed Loba and Rampart. Loba received an upgraded Black Market with a reduced cooldown, while her tactical ability now moves faster and covers greater distance. Rampart, meanwhile, can move faster while firing her Sheila minigun, and her Amped Walls build faster while taking more damage.
The World’s Edge map shifts to an "old-gods" aesthetic and receives new and updated points of interest (POIs). The Climatizer area has been modified as Bloodhound's tribe takes over East Village and constructs a massive Longhouse; War Camp replaces Survey Camp, and Tree Settlement introduces new options for vertical movement. Additionally, Sorting Factory returns to the map, construction stacks re-emerge in Fragment, and Rampart's Big Maude relocates to the top of Landslide.
Gameplay undergoes changes with the arrival of Corrupted attachments, offering high-risk, high-reward mechanics. The developers have also completely reworked energy weapons and added visible weapon stats to show how attachments impact performance.
Furthermore, Support and Assault Bins, Explosive Holds, loot bin resets, and wildlife loot are being completely removed from the game. All other loot sources will be rebalanced so players spend less time gearing up and more time engaging in gunfights.
As a reminder: Participants announced for the EA Sports FC tournament at Esports Nations Cup 2026.
