Aspyr has officially announced DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered in collaboration with Universal. The remaster brings back the 2004 action-adventure game inspired by the beloved animated movie, with a release scheduled for November 10, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The updated version features improved visuals, a revamped interface, enhanced cutscenes, and support for resolutions up to 4K. New additions include Photo Mode, a Cheats Menu, and the ability to switch between characters at any time during gameplay.
One of the biggest additions is co-op for up to four players, available both locally and online, including a combination of the two modes. Players can take control of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and other familiar characters, using their unique abilities to fight enemies, defeat bosses, and solve environmental puzzles.
The game is available for pre-order on Steam for UAH 648 with a discount. According to the store listing, the minimum system requirements include an RTX 3060 graphics card.
As a Reminder, Microsoft develops next-generation Xbox codenamed Project Helix: console price could reach $1,800.
