Today we once again witnessed a Ukrainian derby, but this time it was a survival match. FUT Esports faced B8 for a 2–2 record to keep their chances of reaching the playoffs alive.
B8 lost the match against FUT Esports 0–2. The second map ended in a dominant 13–3 victory for FUT, and this was despite the fact that they didn’t even play their prime Mirage, which is considered one of the Turkish club’s best maps.
With this loss, B8 were eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 23 with a 1–3 record, having secured only one win against FURIA. Their chances of qualifying for the Major are now under serious doubt. It’s fair to say that if the Ukrainian club still wants to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major 2026, they will need to show their best form at upcoming tournaments and consistently reach the later stages.
FUT Esports, meanwhile, moved to a 2–2 record, and tomorrow it will be decided whether they can reach their first-ever S-tier playoff.
