During the XBOX presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2026, Hideo Kojima shared new details about his ambitious projects PHYSINT and OD. Both games have recently received funding from Microsoft.
While Kojima once again described OD as an innovative project that will introduce a new format of interactive storytelling, he revealed more significant information about the spy stealth action game PHYSINT.
Kojima confirmed that Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård will play the game’s main character. He is best known for portraying Pennywise in adaptations of Stephen King’s «It», including the recent series «IT: Welcome to Derry», as well as for his role in «John Wick: Chapter 4».
According to Kojima, Skarsgård is a perfect fit for the protagonist he envisioned for PHYSINT. The game is intended to become the «culmination of his 40-year career».
Skarsgård will join the previously announced cast, which includes Charlee Fraser from «Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga», Ma Dong-seok from «Train to Busan», and Minami Hamabe from «Godzilla Minus One».
However, Kojima did not show any footage from PHYSINT or OD and revealed no additional details about either project. He only thanked XBOX for supporting his vision and the audience for their patience and continued interest in his work.
