NetEase Games has revealed details about the upcoming Season 7.5 update for the team-based shooter Marvel Rivals.
The main highlight will be the addition of a new hero — Black Cat, who will join the roster as a Duelist. In addition to the new character, the developers announced two new game modes: an asymmetric Avengers-themed mode and a brand-new PvE mode called Blood Hunt.
Black Cat will become the 49th playable character in Marvel Rivals and will be available to players in the second half of Season 7. The character is voiced by Erica Lindbeck, who previously portrayed the same character in Marvel's Spider-Man.
Black Cat’s gameplay focuses on high mobility and unpredictable flanking attacks. She can climb walls, perform double jumps, and deal rapid damage using her claws. A core part of her kit is the Grappling Hook, which allows her to steal a special resource called “Fortune” from enemies.
By accumulating this resource, she can enhance her attacks or unlock additional tactical abilities, including invisibility, portal creation, revealing enemy positions in a specific area, and removing crowd control effects.
The Season 7.5 update for Marvel Rivals is set to release on April 17, 2026.
Reminder: Riot Games are in talks with BLAST, ESL, and PGL to help organize VCT tournaments.
