Blizzard announces tournaments for BlizzCon 2026 — Blizzard Classic Cup with StarCraft II and Warcraft III planned

Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the competition roadmap for BlizzCon 2026. The event will take place on September 12–13 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The program will combine traditional world championships with a new tournament focused on classic titles — the Blizzard Classic Cup.

As part of the Blizzard Classic Cup, competitions will be held in several of the company’s classic franchises:

Another major event will be the Overwatch World Cup 2026. The tournament will feature 30 national teams that will go through global qualifiers to earn a spot in the finals in Anaheim.

Within the World of Warcraft esports program, the finals of both major tournaments will be held: Arena World Championship (AWC) and Mythic Dungeon International (MDI). A key moment for AWC will be the official return of the Chinese region to global competition.

The Hearthstone Masters Tour 2026 championship will also take place live during the convention, featuring the best players who qualified through the season’s tournaments.

As a reminder, Pearl Abyss shares dropped after Crimson Desert received a score of 78 on Metacritic.
