Blizzard Entertainment has announced the release of a new line of legendary esports skins, Starlight Champion, in Overwatch 2. A portion of the sales revenue from these items will go toward boosting the prize pool for the Overwatch World Cup 2026 tournament, taking place September 12–13 as part of BlizzCon.
The new set features light blue, purple, and silver hues with an ethereal visual style. Four heroes received Starlight Champion skins: Mercy, Kiriko, Domina, and Cassidy.
Players can purchase the cosmetic content in two ways:
- Individual skins: Each of the four skins is available in the in-game shop or hero gallery for 1,900 Overwatch Coins.
- Starlight Champion OWWC Crowdfunding Mega Bundle: Costs 5,900 Overwatch Coins and includes all four legendary skins, as well as three weapon charms, three name cards, and three sprays.
Sales of regional bundles for the Americas, Asia, and the EMEA region will also contribute to the OWWC 2026 prize pool. At the same time, the developers note that World Cup crowdfunding items should be distinguished from Overwatch Champions Series team bundles, which are designed for direct support of the league's partner organizations.
As a reminder, Emmanuel Macron announced an international video game festival in France.
