The Korean team BNK FEARX became the first champions of the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026, which took place from October 3 to 17 in Beijing. In the grand final, held at the Beijing JD Esports Center, the Korean squad defeated the Chinese team Team WE with a score of 3-1. For first place, FEARX received 600,000 Chinese Yuan (approximately $89,600 USD) out of a total prize pool of 1,500,000 Yuan. This marks the first international title in the organization's history.
FEARX dominated throughout the series and controlled the tempo from the opening game. A key role in the victory was played by jungler Jeon "Raptor" Eo-jin, who was named the MVP of the finals (he also secured 2 MVP awards in the knockout stage). Playing Lee Sin and Pantheon, he completely won the jungle duel, successfully countering the aggression of Wang "Monki" Meng-Qi from Team WE. FEARX's bot lane, led by Kim "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon, also consistently beat their opponents, leaving the Chinese team with minimal room to maneuver. The best individual performance for Team WE was showcased by midlaner Kim "Karis" Hong-jo on LeBlanc (going 9/2/6), but this was not enough for overall success.
This triumph was the culmination of an incredibly difficult season for FEARX. Starting the year as LCK Cup runners-up (which allowed them to compete in the First Stand tournament), the team later faced internal problems and roster changes, notably the trade that brought Taeyoon in for Nam "Diable" Dae-geun. FEARX arrived at the Beijing tournament, where 12 teams competed on patch 26.18, merely as the LCK's sixth seed following two disappointing splits and a tough Play-In stage. Despite this, the squad showed incredible resilience, and their player Clear even led the entire tournament in games played, with a total of 15 games.
