Brawl Stars Introduces Ukrainian Localization and Globally Overhauls Ranked Mode

On November 3, a massive update (Update 70) was released for the multiplayer video game Brawl Stars. The main highlight for the Ukrainian community was the addition of the official Ukrainian localization.

Users gained access to the Ukrainian language following the completion of server maintenance and the installation of the updated app version. The Brawl Stars roster of the esports organization NAVI has already reacted positively to this event.

In addition to the localization, the update brought the biggest rework to the ranked mode in the game's history. From now on, Power Level 11 Brawlers are required to participate at all ranks, and the mode unlock requirement has been moved to the 5,000 trophies milestone. In return, players will receive six free maxed-out Brawlers per season.

The competitive experience also received several improvements: developers updated the pick and ban screen, added 3D map previews, and mitigated the seasonal rank decay system — dropping only two tiers instead of six.

Along with Update 70, the game's roster expanded with three new characters:

Among other gameplay changes is the introduction of the "Buffies" system, which expands the mechanics of Gadgets and Star Powers for a number of heroes. Furthermore, the pins and sprays interface has been updated, and new limited-time modes have been added, including a 20-player Mega Showdown.

Supercell paid special attention to matchmaking security. Thanks to improved anti-cheat systems, the company banned over 53,000 accounts for using third-party software and auto-farming, while more than 4,000 profiles received bans for win-trading.
