As part of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang 10th Anniversary Celebration, the hero Bruno has received a revamp. Unlike other revamped characters, this marksman retains his core mechanics while becoming more agile and gaining a simplified passive critical hit stack system.
Skills and gameplay updates
The main change is that his second skill (Slide) now independently generates a powerball instead of pulling the nearest one. This allows the player to juggle two powerballs at once. Picking up each powerball reduces Slide's cooldown by one second, and basic attacks with a powerball are considered skill damage.
The passive ability Mecha Legs allows stacking up to a 20% additional critical damage chance (2.5% per skill hit, maximum 8 stacks). At the same time, Bruno has increased base physical attack but receives a reduced attack speed bonus from all sources. His ultimate skill (Worldie) knocks the target back to the edge of his attack range, stuns, and slows them, after which the ball bounces among nearby enemies, prioritizing hero targets.
Recommended items, emblems, and spells
The update barely affected itemization, so the build remains classic:
- Core build: Warrior Boots (for lane defense), Haas’ Claws (for sustain), Berserker’s Fury (crit chance and true damage), Malefic Gun (increased basic attack range), and Windtalker.
- Situational items: Sea Halberd is used against high-healing and shielded enemies (Freya, Lapu-Lapu, Rafaela, Estes), Rose Gold Meteor for an emergency shield at low health, and Wind of Nature for physical damage immunity against heroes like Miya, Hanabi, or Ling.
The Custom Marksman Emblem is recommended for Bruno, featuring Fatal (crit damage and chance), Weapon Master (boosts stats from items and emblems), and Quantum Charge (HP regen and movement speed boost on basic attacks). The optimal battle spell is Flicker, though Purify should be chosen against heavy crowd control.
Weaknesses and counters
Bruno remains vulnerable to heroes who can quickly close the distance or deal burst damage:
- Hero counters: Moskov (due to mobility), Alpha (because of true damage), Freya (frequent dashes), and Karina (high mobility and burst damage).
- Item counters: Blade Armor (reflects damage), Chastise Pauldron (reduces attack speed), and Wind of Nature (temporary immunity to physical damage).
