The final stage of the prestigious Capcom Cup 12 tournament in Street Fighter 6 has concluded.
The winner of the event was Japanese player Sahara, representing GOOD8 SQUAD. In the grand final, he defeated French esports player Kilzyou with a score of 5:1.
During the playoffs, Sahara showed a very consistent performance:
- Quarterfinal — defeated Xerna (5:0)
- Semifinal — defeated Blaz (5:3)
- Grand Final — defeated Kilzyou (5:1)
In the third-place match, Chilean player Blaz defeated Japan’s Higuchi with a score of 5:3.
According to the results, the top four players secured qualification for the upcoming EWC 2026 World Championship.
Prize pool distribution
The total prize pool of the tournament was $1,282,000. According to the rules, most of the money was awarded to the top finishers:
- 1st place — Sahara (Japan) — $1,000,000. Also qualified directly for Capcom Cup 13 and Esports World Cup 2026
- 2nd place — Kilzyou (France) — $100,000 + EWC 2026 qualification
- 3rd place — Blaz (Chile) — $50,000 + EWC 2026 qualification
- 4th place — Higuchi (Japan) — $20,000 + EWC 2026 qualification
- 5th–8th places — Fuudo, Dual Kevin, Vxbao, Micky — $10,000 each
