Classic Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 Receive New Age Ratings in South Korea

The South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) has re-certified the iconic shooters Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The decision to assign new age ratings to both titles was officially recorded on May 29, 2026.

According to the regulator's official documentation, the content of the games remains unchanged from the original releases. Both titles received a "Not for Teenagers" classification due to their existing storylines, the presence of strong language, and references to narcotic substances.

The re-certification comes shortly after the recent reveal and release date announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The new ratings suggest that publisher Activision may be preparing additional plans for its classic game library.
