Remedy Entertainment has announced a delay for the physical edition of Control Resonant. Instead of launching on September 24, physical copies for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S will now arrive on October 15. The digital version remains on schedule and will still launch on September 24.
At the same time, the developer confirmed that Control Resonant has officially gone gold. This means the game's core development is complete, the final build has been prepared and approved by platform holders. Remedy has not explained why the physical release was pushed back, although the delay could be related to disc manufacturing or distribution.
Control Resonant will feature Dylan Faden, Jesse's brother, as its main protagonist. After being freed from the Federal Bureau of Control, Dylan becomes involved in the effort to stop an extradimensional entity threatening Manhattan. The game's combat puts a stronger focus on melee encounters, while Dylan will also wield the Aberrant, a weapon capable of changing its form.
Physical editions of Control Resonant will therefore arrive a few weeks after the digital launch, while the digital release remains scheduled for September 24.
