South Korean company Pearl Abyss has shared new milestones for its game Crimson Desert. The fantasy open world RPG launched on March 19 and sold two million copies within its first day. In less than two weeks, total sales have surpassed four million copies across all platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
On Steam, the game is also steadily growing its audience, reaching a peak of 276 thousand concurrent players during its second weekend.
Despite strong commercial performance, critics gave the game mixed reviews. Players, however, responded more positively, with the Steam rating currently sitting at nearly 82% positive reviews. Users praise the large scale world filled with quests and events, while also noting issues with the story and an overload of repetitive MMO style activities.
Recently, the game received a major update featuring numerous fixes and minor improvements to NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction and AMD FSR Ray Regeneration technologies.
In the Ukrainian Steam region, the standard edition of Crimson Desert is priced at 2449 UAH, while the Deluxe Edition with additional gear costs 2799 UAH.
As a Reminder, Xbox teams up with Fanta for collectible gaming themed drinks.
