An official collectible card game based on the Cyberpunk 2077 universe showed an incredible start on Kickstarter, setting new records for the tabletop gaming industry.
The initial goal of $100,000 was reached in just five minutes. Within a few hours, the campaign raised more than $7.9 million, making it the most funded TCG project in Kickstarter history.
The game is being developed by WeirdCo in close cooperation with CD Projekt Red. The developers admitted they did not expect such a huge response. Originally, the stretch goals were planned to end at around $3 million, but due to overwhelming support they had to quickly expand them.
The campaign will run for another 30 days, and the final total is expected to become one of the highest ever for a tabletop project. The game itself and the rewards are planned to be delivered to backers in Q3 2026.
