Death Stranding 2 launches on PC with new content and major update

Tomorrow, March 19, marks the PC release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The game is a port of the acclaimed title by Hideo Kojima, originally launched in June 2025 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Shortly after the developer spoke about the large content update accompanying the PC launch, Sony released a spectacular trailer showcasing all the new features.

The PC version supports all major controllers, works with ultrawide monitors, and includes upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2. In addition, players will see Pico-scaling for the first time, a technology developed by Guerrilla Games specifically for Decima engine titles. It functions on any graphics card and integrates with existing frame generation methods.

The update also brings a variety of unusual additions. Among them are cinematic scenes with live actors that were previously cut for various reasons, while protagonist Sam will experience even more surreal nightmares. Players will also get new equipment, and a creepy cat will appear in the hero’s room.

Hardcore players will be able to try a new difficulty mode called To The Wilder, as well as replay boss fights, including encounters with Neil. The PlayStation 5 version will also receive a 21:9 Ultrawide mode, enhancing the cinematic feel of the game.

As a Reminder, Full trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day released.
