Diablo IV Could Launch on Nintendo Switch 2 as Early as September

According to well known leaker billbil-kun, Diablo IV could arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 in mid September 2026. The current release window points to either September 15 or September 18 as the most likely launch dates.

The information comes from Dealabs insider billbil-kun, who has built a strong reputation for accurately revealing upcoming gaming announcements. The report was later picked up by both IGN and Wccftech.

The leaked details suggest that the physical edition will not include a game cartridge. Instead, buyers will receive a download code inside the retail box. Although this distribution model has become increasingly common among major publishers, it remains unpopular with many collectors. The game is expected to cost $69.99 in the US, €69.99 across Europe, and £62.99 in the UK.

It is still unclear whether the Lord of Hatred expansion, released in April 2026, will be bundled with the Nintendo Switch 2 version. Billbil-kun said he was unable to verify that information. Blizzard has yet to officially announce the port, but the timing of the leak suggests it could be unveiled during Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live on August 25, where the company may introduce the game for Nintendo's latest console.

If the report proves accurate, Diablo IV will become the third title in the franchise to launch on a Nintendo platform, following Diablo III: Eternal Collection and Diablo II: Resurrected. The action RPG originally debuted on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation in June 2023, earning strong reviews from critics.
