In the upcoming football simulator EA FC 27, players will once again be able to scan their own faces and transfer them into the game. The official release of the project is scheduled for September 18, and the developers have already confirmed a number of innovations — in particular, a card grading system in Ultimate Team and "The Grounds" open world for the Clubs mode. However, some of the features still remain unannounced.
According to reputable insider Fut Sheriff, a tool called PhotoFit will appear in the new entry. It will allow players to scan their own face, customize it, and upload it directly to their in-game avatar.
Although specific modes are not yet confirmed, the feature will most likely be available in Player Career Mode and Clubs, where the key focus is on character creation and immersing oneself in a professional football career.
A similar system called Game Face first appeared back in FIFA 12, allowing players to upload their own photos to create a footballer. However, after FIFA 16, the developers abandoned this option. The expected PhotoFit is set to become its modern version, based on face-scanning technologies available in most modern smartphones.
Despite the source's high reputation, the information currently remains an unofficial rumor until confirmed by EA Sports.
