Karmine Corp received a public congratulations from French President Emmanuel Macron after their victory at the home RLCS Major 2 in Rocket League. The head of state emphasized France’s leading position in the global esports industry.
In his official account on X (social media platform), Macron posted a photo of the team holding the trophy and mentioned upcoming major events that Paris will host.
“With Karmine Corp, who became RLCS Major 2 champions in Rocket League at home tonight, and the EWC coming to Paris this summer... we can proudly say: France is at the top of esports!” — wrote the President of France.
This is not the first time Emmanuel Macron has shown interest in esports. He has previously stated ambitions to make France a major European hub for gaming and top-tier competitions, actively supporting the hosting of major international events.
