Epic Games has officially announced an upcoming crossover between Fortnite and Overwatch from Blizzard Entertainment. The long-awaited collaboration will arrive in the game later this May.
On May 12, the official Fortnite account on X published a teaser dedicated to Chapter 7 Season 2 Act 3. The post included the phrases “Act III needs heroes” and “Answer the call.”
These slogans are direct references to iconic quotes from the Overwatch universe. The line about heroes references Tracer’s famous quote: “The world could always use more heroes.” Meanwhile, the call-to-action resembles the broadcasts made by Winston in the franchise’s cinematic trailers.
According to the visual teaser, the first confirmed character is D.Va. Based on the silhouette shown, the hero will reportedly appear in the game without her mech.
According to well-known insider HYPEX, who first reported on the possibility of this collaboration back in 2025, the crossover may also include:
- Mercy
- Genji
- Tracer
The Overwatch x Fortnite collaboration is scheduled to launch on May 14.
