Fable Release Date Announcement May Be Near

Fable has surfaced on South Korea’s game classification website, potentially hinting that a release date announcement may be coming soon.

Recent rumors claimed that Fable had been pushed back to 2027, but the developers later denied those reports. At the same time, fans have continued waiting for official release date news, and it now seems that an announcement could happen sooner rather than later.

As noticed by the KoreaXBOXnews account on X, Fable received a “19+” age rating in South Korea, meaning the game is restricted to adults. The classification cites “language with direct sexual expressions,” “frequent killings involving weapons alongside depictions of blood and bodily harm,” “player choices involving direct criminal acts,” and “excessive vulgar and profane language.”

The game’s description also states: “The game is an immersive open world action RPG where the player embarks on an adventure to resolve a crisis after villagers are mysteriously turned to stone by a stranger.”

Games typically begin receiving ratings in different regions when developers are preparing for a release date announcement, and the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase in June could be the ideal moment for that reveal. However, Playground Games has not made any official announcements yet.

It was also recently revealed that Blizzard’s Cinematics team is assisting with Fable’s development. In addition, rumors about the Fable reboot potentially coming to Nintendo Switch 2 remain unconfirmed, though the possibility is reportedly being considered.
