FaZe Clan — EWC 2026 Rainbow Six Siege Champions: Final Day Recap and Major Tournament Sensations

The two-week Rainbow Six Siege tournament within the Esports World Cup 2026 has concluded in Paris. In the decisive Brazilian derby, FaZe Clan claim another trophy in a clash against FURIA, while North American squad DarkZero won the third-place match against sensational underdog Geekay Esports.

The grand final took place in a Bo5 format and ended with a 3:1 victory for FaZe Clan:

FaZe Clan, who have not changed their roster since 2024 and are back-to-back reigning Six Invitational champions, went through the entire EWC 2026 without a single series loss. The victory at the tournament guaranteed the team a direct slot at Six Invitational 2027 in São Paulo.

For FURIA's roster, updated in March 2026, this final was their first major success after a prolonged slump. On their way to the decisive match, the team defeated the Salt Lake City Major champions, DarkZero.

In the battle for bronze and an additional $85,000 in prize money, DarkZero defeated Geekay Esports with a score of 2:1 (Nighthaven Labs — 3:7, Kafe Dostoyevsky — 8:7, Chalet — 7:0).

After losing the first map and facing issues at the start of the second, DarkZero managed to make a comeback, and on the decisive map Chalet completely shut out their opponent.

The tournament was remembered for bright underdog performances and unexpected exits of the favorites:

Following the conclusion of the Esports World Cup, teams return to regional competitions. Stage 2 starts at the beginning of September and will serve as the qualifier for the R6 Osaka Major 2026.

As a reminder, Janička Gaming became the first PUBG Mobile esports ambassador in Western Europe.
