FIESTA on Joining Team Vitality: Adaptation in Europe, Creative Style, and Ambitions for Worlds 2026

The new midlaner for the European esports club Team Vitality, 23-year-old Korean player Ahn "FIESTA" Hyeon-seo, gave an extensive interview. Having replaced Marek "Humanoid" Brázda after the LEC Spring Split, FIESTA has already helped the team secure a win streak in the Summer Split. Currently, the squad is fighting for a top-4 finish and a ticket to the 2026 World Championship.

Moving to the European league came with certain difficulties in the first week, but the player quickly adapted thanks to the team's support. Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság played a special role in this, as his outgoing personality helped the Korean player fit into the group. FIESTA also noted a striking difference in the working atmosphere: unlike the serious approach in Korea, European players try to maintain a positive mood and high energy even after losses. A telling example is the situation with support player Kadir "Fleshy" Kemiksiz—despite past arguments in solo queue, he is now one of the teammates who most actively supports and praises the Korean midlaner during successful plays.

FIESTA describes his playstyle as aggressive and creative. He has a wide champion pool, easily adapts to new characters after just a few practice games, and is not afraid to use unconventional picks like Aatrox in the midlane. However, LeBlanc and Ahri remain his favorite and most confident choices.

Assessing Team Vitality's current level, FIESTA highly praised toplaner Kaan "Naak Nako" Okan, calling him the best in the league. However, according to the Korean player, the team currently demonstrates only about 70% of its potential in official matches compared to their scrims. He considers improving communication and refining mid-game macro play to be the primary tasks for achieving 100% team synergy.

The player's journey to the LEC starting roster was not easy. After a successful run in Türkiye in 2024, where he won the Summer Split and became the Finals MVP, FIESTA took a forced break due to difficulties finding a team in Korea. Returning to competition earlier this year with BNK FearX Youth, he approached it as his "last chance." According to the player, his invitation to Team Vitality was likely the result of his strong performances in scrims against them back when he was playing in the Turkish league.

Ahn Hyeon-seo's main goal for the current season is to finish in the top three of the league and qualify for Worlds 2026. In the long term, FIESTA aims to leave his mark in esports as a recognizable player with a highly creative approach to League of Legends.
