In the fourth round of the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026, the Swiss stage of the tournament came to a close. The final two playoff spots were claimed by FlyQuest and JD Gaming, who defeated RED Canids and Natus Vincere, respectively, in decisive elimination matches.
The North American squad FlyQuest confidently swept the Brazilian team RED Canids with a 2:0 score. Game one unfolded as a tense positional battle, but the decisive moment came during a fight for Baron Nashor. RED Canids attempted a desperate initiation from a disadvantageous angle, for which FlyQuest punished their opponents with a clean ace without suffering any casualties, ultimately closing out the game. In game two, the Brazilians completely lost control of the map. Thanks to the dominance of Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek on Lucian (posting a 5/1/0 stat line by the 12th minute) and confident objective control from Johnson "Gryffinn" Le, FlyQuest secured the series victory. RED Canids exited the tournament, finishing in 9th-10th place.
Chinese squad JD Gaming mounted a comeback in their series against Natus Vincere, winning 2:1. NAVI started the match strong, taking the first map thanks to heavy burst combinations that repeatedly caught their opponents off guard in the late game. However, a disastrous Baron call by NAVI in game two negated their efforts, despite a massive amount of kills secured by Volodymyr "Maynter" Sorokin on Olaf. JDG seized the initiative, securing the Baron buff along with shutdown bounties to tie the series. In the decisive third game, the LPL squad's experience shone through: JDG harshly punished NAVI for macro mistakes in the sidelanes, building a 14,000 gold advantage by the 25th minute and methodically closing out the game. Securing a hard-fought comeback victory in the series, the Chinese team guaranteed their spot in the quarterfinals, while NAVI exited the tournament in 9th-10th place.
Following the conclusion of the Swiss stage, the quarterfinal draw was held. All upcoming playoff matches will transition to a Best-of-5, Single-Elimination format — one defeat means elimination from the tournament. The games will be held offline at the Beijing JD Esports Center from October 12th to 15th, with the grand final taking place on October 17th. The top eight teams will compete for a total prize pool of 1,500,000 CNY (approximately $223,729 USD).
