Playground Games may have accidentally caused an early leak of the PC version of Forza Horizon 6 ahead of the game’s official launch. According to multiple online reports and posts from the Gaming Leaks and Rumours Reddit community, cracked copies of the game have already started circulating on piracy websites.
The full release is scheduled for May 19, while Premium Edition owners will gain early access on May 15.
The leading theory suggests that the game’s preload build was uploaded to Steam without encryption, allowing certain users to access the files and create a playable crack.
VGC stated that it had seen the game appear on several download sites but did not verify the build itself. Meanwhile, screenshots, gameplay clips, and troubleshooting tips for crashes and freezes have already appeared across social media, Reddit, and YouTube. This strongly suggests that the leak is legitimate, even if the pirated version remains unstable.
Microsoft has not yet commented on the situation. The launch is considered highly important for the company, especially after Forza Horizon 5 earned a Metacritic score of 92. The new installment also finally takes the series to Japan after years of fan requests.
