11 bit studios has unveiled a story trailer for Breach of Trust, the upcoming expansion for the post apocalyptic strategy game Frostpunk 2.
The new scenario takes players to New Edinburgh, a city built at the foot of an active volcano. Instead of battling freezing temperatures and blizzards, players will face the dangers of fire and flowing lava.
The trailer’s narrator warns that ruling the city will be no easier despite the lack of deadly cold. Signs of an impending volcanic eruption are growing, public unrest is spreading, and political factions are eager to use the crisis to advance their ambitions and seize power.
The expansion introduces five new communities with unique ideologies and objectives, along with additional hazards, random events, new laws, two scenario maps, and five new buildings and hubs designed to strengthen the city’s infrastructure.
Frostpunk 2: Breach of Trust launches on June 23 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. The game will also receive a major content update on the same day.
