On September 20, 2026, the S-Tier League of Legends esports tournament, LEC 2026 Summer, organized by Riot Games, concluded. The competition was held offline in Berlin, Madrid, Paris, and Nice. Ten teams participated in the tournament, with matches played on patches 26.14 through 26.17.
In the playoffs Grand Final, G2 Esports secured a convincing 3:0 victory over Movistar KOI. The winners closed out the Bo5 series in three maps with game times of 27:58, 31:47, and 29:06, respectively. The playoff stage took place from September 5 to September 20 in a Double Elimination format among the top six teams from the regular season, with all matches utilizing Fearless Draft.
Following the tournament, spots for international events were distributed as follows:
- G2 Esports (1st place) — qualified for the World Championship.
- Movistar KOI (2nd place) — qualified for the World Championship.
- Karmine Corp (3rd place) — qualified for the World Championship.
- Natus Vincere (4th place) — secured a slot for DCGI.
- Team Vitality (5th place) — secured a slot for DCGI.
The Grand Final MVP title was claimed by Labrov from G2 Esports. The Regular Season MVP award went to Caliste (Karmine Corp), while the Rookie of the Year title was won by Rhilech from Natus Vincere. Notably, the 1st All-Pro Team was entirely composed of Karmine Corp representatives: Canna, Yike, kyeahoo, Caliste, and Busio.
Across 137 maps played, the Blue Side showed a significant advantage with a 64.96% win rate (89 wins) compared to 35.04% (48 wins) for the Red Side. The most picked champion was Rumble (43 picks). Additionally, three pentakills were achieved during the tournament by Caliste and Canna from Karmine Corp, as well as FIESTA from Team Vitality.
