Gamescom 2026 has officially sold out all of its exhibition space weeks before the event begins. Organizers, the German Games Industry Association and Koelnmesse, confirmed that every available booth has been reserved, with record demand already prompting discussions about expanding the show again in 2027.

Visitors will get hands on looks at Metro 2039, the Songs of the Past expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and a wide range of upcoming titles.
Gamescom director Tim Endres described the sellout as a major milestone for the gaming industry.
«That Gamescom is completely booked up is a strong signal for the entire industry. We only just expanded the area last year, so are all the more pleased with the increasing demand. At the same time, we are continually developing Gamescom further and investing in new formats for fans and communities. Felix Falk, managing director of game and co organizer of Gamescom, said the 2026 edition is on track to become the biggest in the event's history. He highlighted Gamescom Opening Night Live, the expanded Awesome Indies showcase, and the debut of Gamescom GDQ as some of this year's biggest attractions.

Gamescom 2026 will take place from August 26 through August 30. The opening day will be reserved for industry professionals and media, while the public will be able to attend during the remaining days.
