Garena has announced the launch of a new themed campaign under the slogan “Kick Off for Passion” in Free Fire. The Fire Kickoff event, which runs until June 21, 2026, celebrates the football season and introduces special game modes, updated maps, and exclusive rewards for players.
As part of the Fire Kickoff event, several maps have received football-themed visual updates and decorations. The most notable change in Battle Royale mode is the transformation of the Factory area on the Bermuda map into a fully functional football pitch with interactive elements, creating a new hotspot for player battles.
In addition, a new system called Pitch Showdown Revival has been introduced across all maps during the early and mid-game phases of matches. The feature allows eliminated players to return to the battlefield by defeating an opponent in a 1v1 duel on a dedicated football arena.
The developers have also introduced two new gameplay mechanics for Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes:
- Football Form — allows players to transform into a football, enabling rapid movement, jumps, and evasive maneuvers. Teammates can kick transformed players to create unexpected tactical plays.
- Football Blast — an exclusive Battle Royale mechanic that lets players launch explosive football grenades at their enemies.
Players can also participate in a special football journey, an interactive five-stage tournament where they take on the role of footballers. Each stage features a goal-scoring mini-game designed to recreate decisive moments from football matches. Progression through the tournament is driven by tokens earned through match participation and mission completion.
As a reminder, the football simulator GOALS was recently released on PC and consoles.
