Halo: Campaign Evolved Reportedly Nears PlayStation 5 Announcement

A new report has added more fuel to rumors surrounding the upcoming announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved. A Reddit user recently spotted promotional materials for the game at a local GameStop store, including PlayStation 5 branding, surprising longtime fans of the franchise.

The remake previously received a South Korean age rating, while recent rumors claim the game could launch on July 28.

Fans online were especially shocked to see Master Chief featured beneath a PS5 logo, something many players once considered impossible during the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 era.

«This is the type of thing you’d only see in fake Photoshop mock-ups back in the 360 and PS3 days. The console wars are truly over», — one user wrote.

Others also reacted with disbelief.

«Oh, that just feels wrong», — another fan commented.

Some players, however, believe bringing Halo to PlayStation could help revive the franchise by attracting a new audience and expanding the series beyond Xbox hardware.

«It’s insane, but honestly it’s essential for Halo’s survival at this point. Xbox is less popular than ever and the franchise needs to reach more platforms to survive», — one Halo fan said.
