Blizzard Entertainment has announced the launch of the themed event Overwatch x Hatred’s Reckoning in Overwatch 2, running from April 28 to May 18. Inspired by the universe of Diablo, the collaboration introduces new cosmetics, the return of classic skins, and an updated rewards system.
At the core of the update are five new legendary skins that reimagine Overwatch heroes as iconic Diablo classes and characters:
- Ramattra (Mephisto) — embodying the Lord of Hatred, Mephisto
- Brigitte (Paladin) — clad in armor of light and faith
- Freja (Rogue) — focused on stealth and precision
- Lifeweaver (Warlock) — themed around dark magic and sacrifice
- Mauga (Druid) — channeling primal nature and fury
These items are available both individually and as part of themed bundles.
The event also brings back four popular legendary skins from a previous crossover:
- Pharah (Inarius)
- Moira (Lilith)
- Reinhardt (Imperius)
- Sombra (Demon Hunter-inspired variant)
During the event, players can take part in returning challenges from the original collaboration. Completing them grants previously available rewards, along with a new weapon charm — the Skovos souvenir.
Developers have also confirmed a Twitch Drops campaign running from April 14 to May 10. Players who watch streams in the Overwatch category with Drops enabled can earn:
- 1 hour watched: “Wolf Pup” weapon charm
- 2 hours watched: “Sword” weapon charm
Previously, a study suggested that playing League of Legends may improve brain function.
