Players of Helldivers 2 will be able to experience the new update called Uncover the Truth on March 20. It will introduce Exo-Storms — a new natural disaster affecting planets and encounters with mysterious new enemies.
The Ministry of Truth hints that these could be «samples worth studying» or undocumented Illuminates hiding something sinister.
The update trailer teases that nothing could possibly go wrong, but it is clear that the Illuminate are up to no good again. The planet Seasse, deep in Illuminate territory, might hold answers to strange gravitational waves that defy established scientific models. Weather on the planet’s surface is also behaving strangely, so the Illuminate may not be the only threat.
Players must discover how these new structures and devices work and figure out how to stop them. As always, the update promises unexpected story twists and major in-game events, which make Helldivers special and highly engaging.
Helldivers 2 remains one of Sony’s biggest live-service successes and even launched on Xbox Series X/S last summer. Even as other shooters compete for attention, Helldivers maintains a stable player base and continues to expand its content.
As a Reminder, Hideo Kojima Adds New Content and Hardcore Mode to Death Stranding 2.
