HEROIC excluded from the Esports World Cup 2026 support program

The Esports World Cup Foundation announced that HEROIC has been removed from the list of clubs participating in the Club Partner Program for Esports World Cup 2026. The information was published on the organizers’ social media accounts.

According to the statement, HEROIC was excluded “due to recent internal organizational changes,” which caused the club to no longer meet the requirements for participation in the Club Partner Program 2026, and the organization agreed to withdraw.

It remains unclear what specific internal changes took place within the organization. One possible factor behind the decision could be HEROIC’s recent departure from the Dota 2 competitive scene.

The Club Partner Program 2026 is a large-scale financial and marketing initiative launched by the Esports World Cup Foundation to support 40 of the world’s leading esports organizations. One of the key benefits for participating clubs is direct funding from a total $20 million pool, aimed at investing in infrastructure and staff development.

It is also worth noting that Netflix recently pulled official Devil May Cry merchandise from sale due to a mistake in the main character’s name.
