The esports organization HEROIC has announced the closure of its Dota 2 division. Despite notable competitive success and growth of its fan base, the club’s management decided to exit the discipline due to financial unprofitability.
The statement noted that, despite all the club’s efforts, the financial results were unsatisfactory, making it impossible to maintain the roster in the long term.
HEROIC entered the professional Dota 2 scene in January 2024. During this time, the team won PGL Wallachia Season 2 and finished in the top 6 at The International 2025.
As a reminder, ESL will host Season 25 of the ESL Pro League in Saudi Arabia.
