North American esports organization Luminosity Gaming is reportedly in talks to acquire the core trio from Ukrainian club Monte, according to HLTV sources. The organization aims to sign Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras, Oscar "AZUWU" Bell, and Aurélien "afro" Drapier. Their contracts with Monte are expected to expire soon.
In addition, Alex "rainwaker" Petrov could also join the American organization, though his transfer is being considered as a full buyout.
Monte’s captain Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen is not part of this process, as he is simultaneously negotiating a move to another project.
The captain role in the updated Luminosity roster is expected to be taken by Lucas "lux" Meneghini, who has been in talks with the organization since April.
According to available information, Monte management attempted to extend the trio’s contracts before the Major. However, after the team was eliminated by The MongolZ, the players informed the organization of their intention to leave.
As a reminder, Cache will replace Overpass in the active CS2 competitive map pool.
