Storylines and International Events
The biggest surprise of the tournament remains the elimination of the reigning KPL and EWC 2025 champions — AG Super Play, who failed to advance through the play-in qualifying round. EWC 2026 champions Kuaishou Gaming, after losing to Weibo Gaming (3:4) in the quarterfinals, now have to fight their way through the lower bracket.
Alongside the KPL, the King Major League Fall 2026 tournament took place in Malaysia from October 27 to 31. The next major international event will be the HoK Nation Clash 2026, which will be held in Malaysia from November 22 to 29 with the participation of the two best teams from China, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
As a reminder, at Worlds 2026, Karmine Corp, LYON, and Bilibili Gaming advance to the playoff stage.
