While progressing through the main storyline of High on Life 2, players are not limited to bounty hunts and story missions alone. The game regularly offers lighter side activities, such as playing hide and seek with Jeppy. One of the more memorable distractions can be found in Pinkline Harbor, where a set of escape rooms awaits.
These challenges are locked early on. You will only gain access after saving your dad from the Ego Chamber during the Wyoming cult segment of the story. Once that milestone is cleared, you unlock the abilities needed to reach the attraction known as «Twilly’s No Escape». There are three escape rooms in total, and although each one allows up to an hour, all of them can be completed extremely quickly with the right approach.
Where to Find the Escape Rooms
To reach the escape rooms, fast travel using the RV to the Town district of Pinkline Harbor. This is the same location you previously visited while investigating the murder of Larry Pinkstock. From there, move toward the south western edge of the map, where the escape room location is already highlighted.
Drop down to the lower level and pass through a tunnel where a frustrated hotel guest is arguing with an employee. Once inside, turn right and look up to spot a platform beneath the «Twilly’s No Escape» sign on an upper floor. After completing the dinner scene with your mum and Lizzie at the Circuit Arcadia zoo and rescuing your dad, you will be able to use Travis and Jan’s Trick Shots to lift the platform. Use it to gain access to the building.
At the reception desk, speak with Twilly, sign the required waiver, and pay the small entry fee. You will then be directed to the corridor on the left, which leads to the first escape room called «Pharaoh’s Tomb».
Escape Room Solutions
Each challenge begins with Twilly explaining that you have 60 minutes to escape, with updates every 15 minutes. A timer is visible above the entrance door, and optional hints can be triggered by crouching. However, following the steps below removes any need for assistance.
Pharaoh’s Tomb
As soon as you enter, activate the alarm located in the right corner of the room. After a short moment, the green mummy will awaken. It provides an Ankh key, which must be placed into the slot next to the door you entered through. Upon leaving, you will quickly realize that the main exit is fake and merely painted to resemble the exterior of «Twilly’s No Escape».
At this stage, the game prevents you from leaving the building until all escape rooms are cleared. The same situation occurs after the second challenge. Return to Twilly to begin the next room, «Alien Wasteland».
Alien Wasteland
Grab the cube of meat from the trash bin immediately to the right of the entrance. Carry it to the red BBQ positioned in the center of the room and open it. Place the meat inside, wait for it to cook, and then take it out. Put the cooked meat on the floor in front of the kennel. The green mummy will emerge and reward you with the Ankh.
In High on Life 2, the Ankh is a key item that you receive after completing the required conditions in each escape room. It functions as a key or a marker indicating that the puzzle has been completed.
Scary House
Pick up the chainsaw from the top of a cabinet opposite the entrance. Then collect the red gas can to fuel it. Use the chainsaw to defeat the green mummy, lift its body, and place it on the bed in the corner of the room. The Ankh will appear underneath the bed.
After finishing all three escape rooms, speak with Twilly once more. Before leaving, be sure to sign up for the newsletter at the front desk where Twilly was standing earlier. Selecting the «Opt-In» option unlocks additional escape room content, which leads to a secret ending after completing the main story. You will also earn the achievement titled «Ankhs for the Memories».
