If you've spent enough time driving around the open world in Forza Horizon 6, you've probably earned the Lucky Escape skill without even noticing. However, daily challenges require you to trigger it intentionally. The Get Lucky challenge, for example, asks players to earn a Lucky Escape while driving any car from the 2010s.
How to Earn Lucky Escape
To earn a Lucky Escape, you must perform a drift or e-drift while also triggering a Near Miss. This means drifting extremely close to an AI-controlled vehicle without making contact. The Near Miss must happen during the drift itself rather than before or after it.
Best Location
The easiest place to complete this skill is on the highway that circles the main island of Japan. With multiple lanes in each direction, there's plenty of room to drift toward another vehicle and safely pull away without crashing.
Recommended Car
A great choice for the Get Lucky daily challenge is the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast. It offers plenty of speed while remaining easy to control at higher velocities. Rear-wheel-drive cars are also excellent options since they make drifting much easier.
Step by Step
- Build up some speed and look for a single AI vehicle with plenty of open space around it.
- Drive very close alongside the car, slightly offset to one side. Quickly press A and steer toward the vehicle to initiate an e-drift.
- If your angle is correct, you'll trigger both the e-drift and Near Miss skills at the same time, followed shortly by the Lucky Escape notification.
- Be sure not to crash afterward and finish the skill chain so the Lucky Escape is successfully banked.
Helpful Tip
The longer you stay in one area of the map, the more AI traffic will appear. If the highway becomes too crowded, simply fast travel to another section of the road where it's easier to find an isolated vehicle and earn the Lucky Escape skill.
