Rascal is a new grenade launcher that serves as a cheaper and lighter alternative to the heavy Hullcracker. It deals significant area damage, features a fast pump-style reload system, and offers high Arc Penetration, though it comes with low accuracy and heavy projectile drop. Thanks to its lighter weight, it is considered one of the best anti-ARC weapons for mobility-focused builds.
How to Find the Rascal Blueprint
You can obtain the blueprint or the weapon itself in two different ways:
Farming During Hurricanes
Enter any map affected by Hurricane weather conditions. Your target is the First Wave Caches, which only become accessible during this event. These caches have a chance to drop either the blueprint or, with some luck, the grenade launcher itself.
Night Raids on Riven Tides
Start a Night Raid on the ARC Raiders map Riven Tides and head to the Stacking Yard area. There, you must solve a puzzle that unlocks access to two loot rooms.
- The first room is located at the top of a crane.
- The second is inside a small security bunker beneath it.
Both locations can contain the Rascal blueprint.
Crafting the Rascal
To craft the grenade launcher yourself, you will need a Gunsmith Station at least Level 2.
Required crafting materials:
- 2 Advanced Mechanical Components
- 5 Canisters
- 3 Heavy Gun Parts
Ammo and Weapon Performance
The launcher uses the same Grenade Rounds ammunition as the Hullcracker. The weapon can only load one shell per cycle. While its overall efficiency may feel slightly lower than expected, its damage output remains very strong.
