Team BC.Game has concluded its run at the Esports World Cup following a narrow loss to 100 Thieves. The outcome came down to the smallest of margins: BC.Game lost the chance to close out the series in two maps due to a lost 1v3 clutch against Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen, before conceding Anubis 11-13.
Following the match, head coach Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas spoke with HLTV, summarizing the performance and discussing the current state of the project.
Commenting on the result, TaZ noted that Counter-Strike is a game of tiny margins:
"Some rounds you lose an advantage, some you win in a disadvantage, so we can't really talk much about it, we just need to go back and get better."
At the same time, the Polish coach praised his players for their resilience, calling it a significant step forward compared to BC.Game's roster at the beginning of the year:
"I'm proud of the guys that they were fighting until the end. This is not something we were known for at the beginning of the year, and that's definitely a huge change."
BC.Game is currently in the early stages of building a new roster under in-game leader Emil "Magisk" Reif, featuring two newcomers — Ayush "mzinho" Batbold and Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold.
According to TaZ, the team is still working on synergy and facing expected growing pains:
- Early Mistakes: The players are reminded not to expect perfection right away — there are misuses of utility or forgotten tactics. With time and experience, the team will better refine their execution in close matches and advantage scenarios.
- Blending Concepts: For this unit, the Esports World Cup was only their second LAN tournament. The main challenge lies in merging different styles of CS: the structured, disciplined approach that Sasha and Denis are used to, with the free-flowing, highly creative style characteristic of mzinho and Senzu.
Despite the elimination, TaZ believes the team showed solid Counter-Strike and laid a good foundation for future success.
As a reminder, Topson will replace the banned TaiLung in LGD Gaming's roster at The International 2026.
