Kingdom Come: Deliverance II receives an update with a new quest and reaches 6 million copies sold

Warhorse Studios has released an update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, adding a new quest titled “Jester’s Visit.” The patch updates the game to version 1.5.6, coming more than a year after the project’s release.

The developers did not reveal full details about the quest, only noting that “a strange jester has begun appearing in front of the Hangman’s Halter tavern, loudly talking about a new strange game,” and also shared an image of Henry dressed as a jester. Players are encouraged to discover the new content on their own.

In addition, the update includes another thematic addition, described as a reference to the card game Balatro, offering Henry a chance to take part in a peculiar activity.

Alongside the update, the studio also announced a major commercial milestone. Sales of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II have surpassed 6 million copies. The developers thanked the community, saying:
“6 million Henrys. This is an achievement we couldn’t have reached alone. Thank you for being part of this community, we’re excited to have you with us on the adventure!”

The patch also fixes a number of bugs, adds Steam Controller support, resolves an issue where Xbox controller mapping would not properly update on handheld devices with keyboard and mouse connected, and prevents players in Hardcore mode from skipping the screen where three negative perks are selected before starting a playthrough. Credits have also been updated.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. During the Steam Summer Sale running until July 9, the game and its expansions are discounted by up to 80 percent. Warhorse Studios has also previously announced a new installment in the franchise.
