Konami has presented a new football game titled Kick Buds. Unlike eFootball, which focuses on realism with real players, leagues, and teams, Kick Buds offers a completely different gaming experience. The project combines football and action in a 3v3v3 PvP format with arcade-style, easy-to-learn controls, as well as support for co-op mode and playing with friends.
As the game is still in development, Konami has opened early playtesting for everyone interested. The playtest runs from July 30 to August 10, 2026.
You can try Kick Buds on both mobile devices and PC:
- Android: Download via Google Play Store.
- iOS: Access via the TestFlight app.
- PC: Testing takes place on Steam with a limited number of slots.
The developers emphasize that the number of participants on each platform is strictly limited — once the limit is reached, access for new players will be closed. Progress made during the playtest will not carry over to the final version of the game, and after the test period ends, Kick Buds will be unavailable until the next phase or official release.
To participate in the playtest, the developers published the following recommended system requirements:
Mobile Version:
- Android: Android 11.0 or later, Snapdragon 855 processor or higher.
- iOS: iOS 15.0 or later, iPhone 11 device or newer.
Steam Version (PC):
- Processor: Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5
- RAM: 16 GB or more
- Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1060 / Radeon RX 570 or better
- Storage: 2 GB or more
