Konami to Showcase a New Silent Hill: Townfall Trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live

Konami has officially confirmed that Silent Hill: Townfall will appear during Gamescom Opening Night Live, where the game will receive a brand new trailer. The showcase will take place on August 25 as part of the event that traditionally opens gamescom before the exhibition begins.

Opening Night Live is scheduled for August 25, while gamescom 2026 will run in Cologne from August 26 to 30. The event gives Konami one of the biggest stages of the summer to build excitement ahead of the game's launch.

The publisher is also preparing a dedicated Silent Hill area at its gamescom booth. Visitors will be able to explore the themed display and take photos with a "two legged mechanical structure," which appears to be a life sized model of the Gekko combat robot from the Metal Gear series.

Silent Hill: Townfall launches on PS5 and PC on September 24, meaning the new trailer will arrive about a month before release. Konami's gamescom lineup will also include Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, Yu Gi Oh! Trading Card Game, and Dead Cells.

The publisher also has a busy release schedule for the rest of the year. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 launches on August 27, Silent Hill: Townfall follows on September 24, and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse arrives on October 15. Excitement around gamescom 2026 continues to build. Exhibition space has already sold out.
