The CEO of OverActive Media, Adam Adamou, confirmed that the LEC Versus finals of League of Legends at Olimpic Arena in Barcelona delivered both a “great show” and a “profit”
The event, organized by Movistar KOI in partnership with Riot Games as part of the roadshow series, ran for three days. Matches took place at the Olimpic Arena, which typically holds 12,760 spectators for basketball games.
Adamou summed up the results of the event succinctly: “We made a profit.” According to him, nearly 15,000 people attended the tournament over the three days to watch clashes between G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, GIANTX, and KOI.
The weekend in Badalona marked the first roadshow of 2026, but not the last. As previously announced by Riot Games:
- April 24–26: Karmine Corp will host its own event at Arena d’Évry-Courcouronnes (3,000 seats).
- May 8–10: The tournament will return to Spain, this time in Madrid under KOI’s leadership.
- September 4–6: The LEC season finals weekend will also take place in Madrid.
As a reminder, Resident Evil Requiem became the highest-rated game on Metacritic according to user scores.
