LEGO announces a budget Sega Mega Drive set

LEGO has unveiled a new retro-themed set — the Sega Mega Drive console. The original system, released in 1988, sold over 30 million units and introduced the world to many legendary characters.

The set is scheduled for release on June 1, 2026. It consists of 479 pieces and offers a high level of detail despite its compact size (height — 4 cm, width — 16 cm, depth — 12 cm). One of its key features is its affordable price — $39.99.

The set includes:

Users will be able to choose the branding themselves — the box will include stickers for both the Genesis and Mega Drive versions.

As a reminder, the official Cyberpunk 2077-themed tarot deck will be released this year.
